Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust

Home to over 900 ducks, geese, swans and flamingos; 197 species of wild birds have been attracted to the 70 acres of parkland, and many birds can be hand-fed. Annual highlights include Downy Duckling Days (late May to mid-July) when visitors can see young birds take their first steps in the nursery, the spring nesting colony of Grey Heron, and a winter feeding station with woodland birds. The Waterside Caf serves home-made food in a waterside setting; other features include a play area for children, gift and bookshop, and the Wetland Discovery Centre.
